This Utility Exhaust Fan eliminates humidity from laundry rooms, tobacco smoke from rec rooms and workshops, or cooking fumes from kitchens with Broan's high-efficiency utility exhaust fan ventilators. The exhaust fan runs at 180 CFM and 6.5 Sones. This exhaust fan has easy installation for between ceiling joints and wall studs. I purchased this exhaust fan to replace the one in our 1950's home. The original was the same company (NuTone) and was probably about 20+ years old. I was happy to discover this was just about the same size and seemed to be the only option that had a on off switch on the fan instead of having to wire it to a light switch... I really liked that option. Installation was good, instructions were easy to follow. I knew when I bought it that it would be loud.
